An Update on the Productive Fall 2011 NAPL Conference
The National Association of Premier Lenders (NAPL) recently held its Fall 2011 Conference in Fresno, California. The conference included the very first NAPL CDC Growth Initiative Seminar, in-depth discussion on 504 servicing, recovery and liquidation practices, an update on the most recent 504 industry legislative efforts, a presentation regarding efforts to market the 504 loan program in today’s economic environment, and a tour of the new SBA Fresno Commercial Loan Servicing Center, which included a presentation by Senior SBA staff. The Fall 2011 NAPL Conference generated discussion and an exchange of innovative practices on critical issues facing the 504 loan program, the use of investors in the recovery process, and the small businesses we aim to assist. As overall economic conditions remain stagnant, it is critical for the 504 loan program industry to implement the most effective policies and initiatives designed to assist small businesses. NAPL remains optimistic the promotion and support of the most effective 504 loan policies will allow CDCs to maximize assistance and will encourage growth amongst the small business community.
